Updates on Celest Sleep Training

Celest been sleeping in her own room on her new bed for over 2 months now. But, it hasn't really been successful as nightly, she will wake up & crawl into my bed in the middle of the night. Usually by then, i will be too sleepy to wake up to bring her back to her own room to sleep. Will just normally pat the bed & move aside to let her climb up & bunk in with us. But one thing i am puzzled is, she will remember to bring her blanket/pillow along with her when she come over. Poor daddy will then go out to sofa to sleep as it's getting squeezy & with her kicks/turns and all.

I thought that if i bought a Poohbear bedsheet set for her to sleep on, it will attract/encourage her to sleep throughout. So i been telling her about the Poohbear bedsheet thingy. During our window shopping, went into Aussino to search for the besheet. Hmm, it was slightly expensive as compared to those normal kids print bedsheet. 1 set of Poohbear prints can get me 2 sets of normal kids print. Guess which did i buy? The 2 kids print! Felt abit bad that i didn't fulfil my promise to her.

Jurong Bird Park Trip

Waiting for the show to start...

We brought the kids to Jurong Bird Park yesterday, thanks to hubby's corporate pass. For all of us adults, its been a few years since we last went there. Carine was a very good baby as she slept throughout the visit. Hehe. At one point of time, i even thought of SID.

We went to catch the 11am Birds & Buddies show when we reached there. All of us enjoyed the show very much, especially Celest. Her eyes were fixed on the birds flying about. She also gamely raise her hands when the host was asking for volunteers. After the show, we started our tour of the park. The 1st stop was @ the World of Darkness to see the owls. It was pitch dark inside which I couldn't even see my hands in front of me. Celest was a brave girl & wasn't afraid at all.

I didn't brought Celest into the kids playground area as I worried that she wouldn't want to leave. Well, the place was smaller than the Zoo & we were done in about 2hrs time. By then, all of us were very tired, hot & stuffy & yearning for a cold drink & air con.

Xmas Show 2008 - Hello Kitty & Winnie The Pooh

It's the time of the year when malls would usually have cartoon character show to attract those young shoppers. I remembered that last year, I brought Celest to see these shows with the SMH June friends. So fast man, another year has passed. Now with a baby in tow, I can't go out as & when like last time. I have to ask my mother-in-law to help in looking after Carine at home while I bring Celest out.

We first went to Bishan J8 to catch the Hello Kitty Show. It started just when we got there. Phew! Celest actually knows who is "Hello Kitty" but it's not me who introduce her to it. Maybe her school friends/ teachers? The show was abit boring to her as it's in a storyline and she's too young to understand the story. Guess the best part is the 'let it snow let it snow' part where there's 'snow' popping out. Those sitting right below the 'gun' was in a mess though. After the show, we went to Mac for a quick bite as we need to rush to Taka to catch the Poohbear.

There was some miscommunication as there was no show at the Taka. It's only Meet & Greet session. Brought Celest to queue up for a chance to take pictures with Pooh. Surprising she wasn't afraid this time round to get up close with Pooh.
