Starting Childcare Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be Celest's first day reporting to Kinderland Childcare Centre. Sounds like going for military training. Haha. I am having mixed feelings now to the extent that I'm worried that I can't sleep well later.

I wonder our decision to send Celest to Childcare Centre will be a correct one. Is she able to adapt to the lifestyle there and etc. We will also need to fine tune our lifestyle, such as the whole family will need to sleep earlier, say latest by 11pm. Of course for Celest, she will need to sleep by 10 pm latest. We will need to wake up by 6.30am to prepare for the day, eat our breakfast before leaving home at 7.15am. I have just finished packing her bags for the next day.

After Celest had her nap, we took the train to Queenstown MRT Station to attend Kiefer's birthday party. How time has passed and Kiefer is now one year old. I can still remember Kiefer vividly as the newborn baby when Cassandra brought him to attend Celest's one year old party.

Celest was attired in halters and short as I presumed it will be humid but I was wrong. Haha. The celebration was held at the garden rooftop of a multi-storey carpark. We were the first to arrive while Cassandra was busy setting up the decors as the rain just ended.

Celest saw a tricycle and to play with it and daddy was soon seen pushing her around. There were lots of ants and mosquitoes "loitering" around and it never occurred to me to bring her patch out. I got a few bites on my legs. When Celest fell onto an ant's road path, I was abit shocked to see the number of ants crawling on the ground. I quickly got her up to search for any ants on her body and swept them away. It was until the next day morning when I saw four BIG swollen bites on her body and legs. Haiz.

Through the event, I kept telling Celest not to walk around on her own and to let daddy carry her instead. Well, she was too stubborn to heed my advice. I fed her with rice, garlic bread and etc from the buffet. She was "glued" to Kiefer's helium balloons most of the time.

The birthday cake was tasty especially when the strawberries were frozen. Feel like eating an ice-cream cake instead. Haha. During Celest's birthday celebration, her c ake melted slightly due to all the waitings.

We left the place after the cake-cutting session as Celest was tired and it was bedtime for her.

Daphne's Birthday Dinner

Today is Daphne's birthday and we are meeting her for dinner at "Hanabi" located at Odeon Tower tonight. This is a Japanese buffet-style meal, which was highly recommended by Pelin. We took the train to City Hall MRT station and Mervin helped me to carry Celest while we walked over.

When Celest first met them, her 'shyness' appeared again. Haha. Have to give her some time before I ordered chawanmushi and other stuff for her to eat. After tasting the chawanmushi, Celest kept asking for more. Guess she loved it very much just like her dad. Because she was eating so fast, daddy and myself had no time to eat our food. I alternated Celest's food between the garlic fried rice and chawanmushi.

The place provided a wide variety of food at a reasonable price and the taste was yummy (not trying to promote them). The dinner cost about $38nett on a friday . I shall find a time to go there again with hubby next time. Throughout the dinner, Celest behaved well and remain seated in the high-chair with little fuss.

Today, brought Celest to watch the Disney On ice show with my neighbours. It was my first time bringing her to such show & was hoping that she would sit still quietly. We went to KFC @ Kallang for some snacks before going for the show. Celest, as usual, needed me to push her to drink her water & her food. The boys finished eating their food & went to the indoor playground to play. Celest saw the playground & kept wanting to go there. She kept saying 'Bao Bao' & tried to catch hold of Gillian & Jason's attention. In the end, she did manage to go there for a while. Haha.

Tonight was the opening night & there was quite a crowd. Guess who we saw there? Pan Ling Ling at the entrance with her family. The place wasn't as cold as i thought it would be. Haha. Kiasu mummy had brought 2pcs of jacket for us each. Our seats were under the Cat 2 & was quite near the ice rink. Gillian managed to spot more 'stars'. Like Zoe Tay, Hong Hui Fang, Chen Li Ping, Chen Zhi Cai, Lai Yi Ling, Lin Mei Jiao etc...They were all seating together & during the break, some filming was done. I suppose they are asking them hows the show & for advertisement purpose.

During the 1st half of the show, Celest watched very intently & sat very still. Think she enjoyed the show & even clapped. However, she was getting restless during the 2nd half & was climbing around the seats. Most probably because during the 2nd half, most of the show's character she didn't really know them. She only know Mickey Mouse & friends from the Playhouse Disney Channel. But, i think the next time i brought her to shows, she will need to get a ticket by then. Haha.
