Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

My Cheeky Little Monster

A few days ago, I played a little game with Celest. I sang the song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and purposedly leaving out the last word. I looked at Celest, wating for her to complete the lyrics. Amazingly, she could say out all the correct words - Star, Are, High, Sky, Star, Are.

When daddy came home that night, I told him about it. Haha. Will try to record the process down but it's all depend on her mood as she doesn't perform at times. Daddy tried another song on her - "The Old Macdonald Had A Farm... She could say Farm & 'O'.. :)

My Sick Records

I was busy for the past few weeks since Celest started going to childcare centre. I suddenly have the idea of keeping a record of her 'sick' days since she she started going to childcare centre.

2nd April (Day 2)

She got running nose so she returned home in the late morning. What a bad start!

9 April (Week 2)

Was picking up receipts @ PD's clinic and asking for cough medication as Celest was heard having dry cough since last night. 10/11/12 fed her Rhinathiol. 13/14 fed her Bambec.

15 April (Week 3)

Celest went to see PD as sticky greenish-yellow coloured mucus was seen in her nose as well as her cough. Can hear some phlegm in her cough now. PD said that it is due to allergy and her lungs are clear of phlegm.

16 April (Week 3)

Her body temperature rose to 37 degree but came down on the same night.

17 April (Week 3)

Brought her to school but received a call shortly after, asking me to fetch Celest back. Teacher said Celest had running nose and the mucus was green-coloured.

18 April (Week 3)

In the evening after Celest's nap, her body temperature rose again to 37. 20 degree.

24 April (Week 4)

Celest's body temperature hovered around 39/40 degree and we brought her to see Dr Lim on Sat. Dr Lim opined that it could be a sign of viral infection but unable to establish exactly which ENT. Celest was given Augmentin antibiotic which was to be consumed within the next 48hrs. If the symptoms persist, Celest will need to return back for 21st for a blood test. Thankfully, Celest's condition improved and she was spared the needles. Cannot say the same thing for her cough though. The rhinathiol doesn't seems to be working on her. Our next plan review will be the next Saturday.

Day 2 @ Kinderland

At the centre, I bumped into my ex-colleague, Agnes and she is pregnant again. I have not seen her for quite a while and her son, Brendan, was a shy lad. I let Celest to roam about in the playground area on her own while I chatted with Agnes and another mommy. Hubby also met his colleague at the centre as well. What a "reunion" day!

Celest seems scared of the principal (Miss Susan) by crying initially when the principal greeted good morning to her. Celest, however, showing her true self slowly and begun playing with her. She even went into the centre without me while I sat there chatting.

Susan asked me to hide myself as Celest seems to be more settled at the moment. After a while, there wasn't any noise coming out and i went in to take a look. They were having breakfast while I was walking in. Susan saw me and asked me to hide myself quickly. Haiz. They were having mushroom soup and bread for breakfast today. Celest seems to be enjoying her meal very much.

After the meal, they were going for story telling session. Susan told me to hide myself as Celest was walking towards my direction. I rushed into an opposite room and found a strategic spot to keep surveillance on Celest. Heehee

Celest went into the room but came out shortly. She was looking around and came into the room where I was hiding at. I'm busted. The moment Celest saw me, she started crying out "Mummy Mummy". She became uncomfortable and asked me to carry her. I was resting in the office when she would walk in frequently, seemingly to make sure that I do not leave without her.

There was once when I went to her classroom to retreive some things. Celest cried when she couldn't find me in the office. All the crying seems to worsen her running nose and she cannot continue with the session. During bath time, Celest was crying when I tried to undress her. I gave up and decided to change her diaper but unsuccessful.

She was crying non-stop and it appears that her nose was blocked, causing discomfort to her. I wanted to let Celest to stay at least till after taking her lunch but it seems impossible. Furthermore, the teachers weren't really comfortable to let Celest remain as they worried Celest will spread germs to other children. Oh well, got to go home. It was a tiring task to carry her all the way from the centre to home. Hopefully the baby inside can 'tahan' the extra weight of Celest.

Day 1 @ Kinderland

Hubby and myself woke up at 6.30am to prepare ourselves and have breakfast before waking Celest up at 7am. Fed Celest with one bottle of milk and she changed into her uniform before leaving home together.

Haha. What a day to start school. The NEL train services were disrupted and we waited for quite some time before we managed to board the train. Celest insisted on pulling her trolley bag when we left home. Her new bag soon became dirty after all those pulling. Haiz. I got to stamp my authority in order to "snatch" the bag away from Celest since we were running late. This, of course, didn't goes well with Celest who became angry and started crying for a while.

While walking to the centre, my tummy felt uncomfortable, possibly due to the Anmum which I took earlier. I asked daddy to carry Celest while I struggled with the bags, diapers etc. Luckily, one lady approached us and introduced her as one of the teachers from Kinderland teacher. She offered to carry some of the items which i was carrying. Saviour indeed. :)

Celest got abit uncomfortable when she stepped into the centre by fussing and crying. We went into the classroom and she was clinging onto me tightly, worrying that I might leave her. When daddy said goodbye to us, Celest even wanted to leave with him.
