Fidgets

Bonding time with daddy/ Her favourties : Balls!

So tiring to push her around/ Obstacle course

Sliding down...

Having read much about Fidgets in MTDT's blog, we decided to bring her to the place today. The day before, I was prepping Celest, getting her all hyped up for the visit. I even showed her the pictures of the place from the web page.
Imagine my disappointment when hubby suggested that we went to the beach instead because of his knee pain. The first words that Celest spoke when she woke up today is 'big ball' and smiled at us, nodding her head at the same time. She do remember what I have told and promise her. That's why I say, "Never break a promise to a kid". Imagine hubby broke two promises to bring her go swimming.

Anyway, the sky looked overcast and was very windy. We worried that Celest would catch a cold if we go to the beach. So we sticked to our plans @ Turf City. We had our breakfast at a coffeshop there before going to the Fidgets. For those who want to go there, please park your car at the open space outside the Giant supermarket. It's not in the same building as the main one. Look out for a heading that says 'MagicBoo' - a shop that sells bathroom wares etc. For adults, entry is free. A charge of $8 is imposed on each child less than two years old otherwise it will be $15.
Celest let out a big scream when she saw the place and was raring to go. The concept is similar to the playground at Big Splash except that it is unlimited play and bigger space for children to play. There was a cafe inside for people to relax themselves over a piece of cake or drinks while their kids enjoy themselves. Too bad i don't have the luxury of doing that as i need to follow daddy and Celest around to take photos.

Celest first went to the ball pool and hubby took her along on the slide which she wanted more. But, she likes to take shortcut and tried to climb up the slide which is too slippery because of the socks she was wearing. It's quite a good place to improve her hands/arms/eyes coordination as she needs to manoeuvre here & climb there.
I was surprised when she managed to climb up a flight of 'blocks' (like wall- climbing). There wasn't any big balls around when we were there. Maybe it was 'cleaning in progress'. We took her to try out the rest of the playground. Some of which she didn't try as she's too small for that and hubby's leg pain prevented us too. So, shall see if her 'Shu Shu' can bring her in the next time and it will be more fun for her.
Actually, I wanted hubby to bring her in as I wanted them to improve their bonding. So that Celest will be able to have fun with hubby and that will help him to carry/deal with her more easily. Haiz....

The playground visit lasted 1hr+ and as expected, Celest refused to leave the place. Had to carry her away by force. The staff told me that it's very normal.....Haha.. We went to Giant to do some grocery shopping before heading for home. Guess all the climbing & excitement had made Celest very tired as she napped longer than usual.

Visit From Sally Ann & Nat...

Hubby's distant cousin from Australia came to Singapore for their honeymoon. All of us were meeting each other for the first time.
We had our dinner at Holiday Inn Park View, trying out their new promotional buffet which showcase local delicacies. The spread is not bad but unfortunately, I could only eat a small portion of durian cream as I'm scared that baby will grow too big.
Surprisingly, Celest wasn't afraid or shy of them when she saw Sally-Ann and Nat. Maybe it's because they look young? less fearful? Anyway, after dinner, they came to our place for a visit.
The couple left Singapore the next day and we wish them a blissful and eternal marriage.

Aranda Country Club

Rise & Shine! We went to Geylang's dim sum house to have our brunch. My in-laws also joined us despite the last-minute notification.

I ordered a bowl of porridge for Celest to eat. When the rest of the dishes came, she was eyeing the mango/banana fritters that was placed in front of her. Haha. It was the 'heat' that kept her from pinching the food.

After our brunch, we went back to my in-laws' home where Celest "wolfed" down one bowl of bird nest. Hubby always grumbled that kids are so lucky nowadays, can eat bird nest at such young age. Celest also knew it was good stuff and she will be going back to ah-ma for more.

Since last week, we promised to bring Celest go swimming again which resulted in her saying and nodding her head 'swimming' throughout the whole day.

Today is hubby's cousin, Jasmine's 21st birthday and we are going to her birthday celebration, held at Aranda Country Club. I brought Celest's swimwear and diaper along, hoping she would have a chance to use it.

The unit was just right in front of the Wild Wild Wet. She was eyeing the place enthusiastically and kept saying swimming again. Oh well, her lazy daddy disappointed her again. Brought backwards the promise for 2 weeks in a row. I still think that it's wrong to break a promise to the kids as they WILL remember and be disappointed. If not for the fact that I am in my last trimester, I would have brought her on my own. Guys hiaz!

The place at Aranda looks pretty good and the unit is spacious but I still prefer the Aloha Loyang pool terrace unit (minus the inconvenience). Hopefully, i can still get a unit somewhere for baby's full month celebration.

After settling down, Celest, as usual, started her auto-roaming. At some point, she was fascinated with the pumping of balloons and wanted to pump one on her own manually. Few balloons burst but this did not deter her at all.

Downtown East certainly look more lively now after the revamp. Will find a chance to bring Celest come again during a weekday to explore the place.

Ah Gong's 59th Chinese Birthday

Don't Be Mistaken! It's Not Celest Birthday...

It's Ah Gong Birthday!

Trying to get Celest to sing the birthday song..

Today is Ah Gongfather's 59th birthday and we celebrated by having a little cake cutting at our home. We ordered the cake (a black-forest cake) from Four Leaves. Haha. I have a liking for their cakes these few days.

During Celest's birthday, I ordered a Strawberry Shortcake flavour from Four Leaves as well. Well, it's funny. When I was eating the one slice cake, it taste so wonderful but can't say the same thing when eating from the whole cake-so. Now, need to source for another cake for Celest's mei mei's full month celebration.

We had dinner at New Park Hotel's Hai Xiang Restaurant which was ala-carte buffet. Celest was enjoying her food but towards the end, she started to get restless and ran around the restaurant. How time flies, I can still remember we were celebrating Ah Gong's birthday at Sheraton Towers one year ago.

Splashing Time!

So envy...seldom got mummy in picture. :(

Today didn't really have any plans to go to. Happened that Patsy suggested of bringing the tots go swimming and off we went to the Civil Service.

The baby pool was sheltered and there weren't many kids around. Celest was screaming happily when she saw the pool. It was her favourite activity and the last time she went to a pool was at the Changi Beach Club.

This time round, daddy was with her in the pool as mummy does not have any maternity swimwear. It was a good chance for the father and daughter to bond together. I didn't bring her float along as she resented sitting in it during the last few times. This time round, she wanted to sit in Perle's float. Haiz! Other people's toys are always better.

We arrange to go to the Jurong East's pool whereby there is a slide for the children to play. I think the kids will enjoy themselves very much, hopefully before I give birth. I don't think I will be bringing the baby outdoors for the first few months.

Playing with Perle/ Daddy's tired look...shame..
