Recently, i moved Celest from her baby cot to sleep on mattress on the floor. Till now, it was still a failure though. I found that the baby cot is getting small for her & she kept hitting the bars whenever she flip & toss. Mind you, Celest really turns alot in her sleep. That's why the thought of moving her to mattress on the floor. Whenever we sleep over at relatives/friends house on the mattress on the floor, Celest doesn't have any problem. Maybe it's because we are sleeping beside her.
Initially, we used the thick single spring-mattress but realised that she doesn't quite used to the 'springs' inside. Not to mention the height of the mattress, whenever she turns, after sometime she will land on the floor no matter how many cushion i placed around her, waking her up & caused her to start crying. Thus, i used the very thin peace as suggested by hubby. It was ok though but still got wake up in the middle of night. Guess she was not used to it. Some nights i fall asleep with her while making her sleep again in the middle of the night. My back was sore & stiff the next morning though as it was too thin. Celest didn't grumble though (more of she doesn't know). Haha.
2 nites ago, i stacked the thin piece & another mattress together. The thickness is fine but she still got wake up. Think it all boils down to her being not used to it. Last night, she woke up once & came to my bed side. I was very sleepy so i told her to go back to her bed. She lie down on the floor & slept. I was too tired at that time to take note of it till i heard some noises made by her some time later, to my shock, she was sleeping on the floor! I was worried for her back & bones etc & carried her to her mattress.
Actually, i remembered that i also like to lie on the floor to sleep while i was young. It was very cooling with the tiles below you. I remembered that i liked to kick away my mattress & sleep on the wooden board. Haha. Hopefully, she don't follow me like this. Hubby thought of giving up but i was thinking of pressing on for another week or so. We both quite missed the time when we can sleep through the night. :P

Baby Virus
She loves rides very much that once she got seated on any one of the rides, that spells trouble for us.
These few days, Celest liked to say 'Baby' & would repeat saying the same word several times. Sometimes, it can really be quite unnerving to hear her say that. Last night, i got hubby to do flash card with her. All her reply was 'Baby Baby Baby......'

Finally She Started Talking....
That day, i slept in late as i was tired but my ears were still sharp in picking up what's happening outside for hubby & Celest. Could heard him teaching Celest to talk, getting angry & frustrated etc. Later in the day, Celest surprised me by saying a few words. When she wanted me to carry her, hubby asked her " what must you say'? She replied ' Bao Bao'. So happy. After that hubby asked her to say 'Mei Mei'& she did. Normally, we will ask her to say 'Papa Baobao'. We will say 'Papa.. & she will continue with 'Baobao'. Lazy girl!
I taught her the word 'please'. It was so cute to hear her say that. Of course, sometimes her pronunciation will go off abit. I realised that she would be more 'willing' to talk when she has a favour to ask, food to eat etc. Otherwise normally, she will just ignore you & don't bother to say anything or blabbers.
During my spring cleaning of the storeroom, i found a beach ball & i inflated it for her to play. Now she can say Ball nicely. :) Her 'kick' was discovered when i watched her watching her Baby Can Read video from a corner. When the word 'Kick' same on the screen, she will repeat after the word & her leg will go kick once. Haha. Be careful of her powerful legs ok!
Actually, i noticed that she had been blabbering alot these few days. Hoping that she would speak soon. Let's hope it will continue....

Zoo Trip
See her 'tao face' /In the coach, roaring to go.
Rise & shine. Our Zoo bus departs at 9.30am & this is one bus that we can't afford to miss. If missed, we will need to take the regular bus service routes which will be troublesome! On the bus, Celest becomes a monkey already. Kept standing up on the seat & disturbing those sitting in front & behind her. I can't even take a short wink unlike hubby who slept throughout the ride. Today's weather very good but I was still worried that it would rain.
The Zoo was quite crowded by the time we arrived. Today i brought them on a different route from what i normally took. We stopped halfway to take a rest & let Celest to drink her milk. I failed at the attempt on putting her in her pram when she had slept & it was hubby who managed to do so after some tricks. Haha. We almost had covered 80% of the Zoo today on foot & but only managed to catch the animal show. Wanted to have lunch at the Children's World KFC but it was too crowded with people & childrens. Celest was up to her crying spells again & hubby decided to enforce some disciplinary actions. Results? Celest cried till vomitted all her milk out onto me & floor. Arrghh. One of the picture shows her patting an animal right? Guess what happened after that. She accidentally touched the 'horn' & that made the animal angry & chase after Celest abit. Luckily, she was safe. I checked her butt & back to see if she was injured by the horn.
This trip wasn't as tired as i thought as there were many people helping to carry her but still she's selective of a few only. Only Ah mei & my small aunt managed to carry her. We thought we could still take the 2.30pm coach back home but..... Haha. We were only concentrating on looking out for the coach we came in & didn't realised that another small van is departing. It was until i called the company then i knew that we had waited in vain. We took a bus to AMK interchange then. My aunt they all last minute wanted to cook dinner & did some marketing. Haha. Apity i don't have the chance to eat as i am meeting Pelin they all for dinner.

Time to go home today. We waited from 8am to around 9.30am before i managed to get my cousin on his phone. He promised to fetch us and had breakfast with us before sending us to the taxi terminal. Celest woke up early today as well & I was worried that she will be tired if our departure was delayed. Celest waved goodbye to all & give a few very sweet 'frank kiss'. We went to TJ Mart for breakfast. Ah mei, my cousin, took her to go sit on rides so as to give me some peaceful time to eat. Lucky she never fuss as she usually did when i pry her away.
Home sweet home. I put her to her nap as soon as we reached as she was very tired since the timing was way past her nap time. I prayed hard that the rest of the group will take their time to reach so that Celest can sleep longer. Decided to wait for her to have her nap 1st before going to Isetan sale & orchard road. The sale was so crowded that I couldn't even put Celest down to walk and we took turns to carry her. We went to the nursery room to find a seat to feed Celest her milk. All seats were taken up & there's quite alot of people inside. I saw 2 malay ladies sitting down, playing handheld gameboy. Apparently they were waiting for their friends to shop and this made me angry. I asked them whether they could give up one seat for me to feed a baby. The older one just mumbled sorry & got the younger to get up & then went back to her game. Haiz.
We went to Takashimaya to shop awhile as they got some voucher to utilise. I met Yan Teng who was pregnant but still looking gorgeous. She was around 3 mths pregnant then. Celest was as usual fascinated with the tall Xmas Tree & she went 'wah' 'wah' many times. She loves to see those lights. While they were shopping, i took Celest to a corner & made her sleep. There was a Jap old uncle who sat down beside me. His grandson i suppose, was very cute. The little boy was sleeping while sitting upright in a stroller. The uncle was trying to adjust the level when the boy got angry with all those disturbance. Reminded me of Celest. Haha. We walked to Somerset Mrt as ah mei wanted to see the Xmas light-up. Celest of course was happy as there were many lights around.
We reached our dinner place as planned, "Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore". After our dining experience, I think that it will be our first and last time patronising. The food didn't really meet our expectations and the price that we paid was expensive, consider the quality. Not really worth it if not for the voucher. Don't mistaken it for the pasta shop that's at the basement of Wisma Atria. It's very different. Think all my relatives not really used to eating spaghetti & maybe it's even their 1st time to try. Felt bad about their 'uneasiness' & me being a bad host. Took a slow stroll along the boat quay's stretch of restaurants/pubs etc. All of them were very tired when we reached home. It's time to catch a good night rest to prepare for tomorrow's Zoo trip.

Ah Min's New House -Xmas Day
We are meeting my brother & sister at 7.30am at the bus terminal. I could barely open my eyes at 6.45am. Was just going through the motions etc. Celest seems to know that we are going on a trip & woke up early. Throughout the journey to the checkpoint in the coach, Celest was as usual climbing all over the place, playing peek-a-boo with her Jiu Jiu & Yi Yi,etc. Really can't imagine bringing her go for holiday to Genting by coach! Lucky, there wasn't any jam & we cleared the immigration checks smoothly. Managed to get a taxi who agreed to charge us at RM 30. Some were asking for 35/40 etc. Haiz. What a shame to the country. Sian, have to go through haggling again when we go back for CNY.
We reached my grandma's house around 9am. Celest's Yi Po was outside at the gate throwing rubbish. She was as usual abit cranky due to the unfamiliar surroundings. I told them to give her 30mins & she will be running around on her own. Aunt brought us to eat 'Gan Lao Mian' for breakfast while she helped us to look after Celest. She brought Celest to watch dogs, cats etc & this was how i can have my breakfast in peace. We later went on to my uncle house so that i could let Celest nap before going over to my cousin's new house. They were moving into their new house today. My 'Li Kim' cooked some porridge for us & that will be Celest's lunch. She seems ok with the porridge as i scared she may not like it as there were ginger shreds inside. She went around disturbing & making people smile. Haha. Got once, my uncle & a boy was playing chess. She walked to the boy side & patted him on his back like encouraging him. My cousin was having fun looking after her as she loves kids very much. She worked in a kindergarden before during her school holidays. After lunch, we went to the new house.
The new house was very big & 2 storey high. There were a lot of guests there & Celest was afraid to go into the house. Kept wanting me to carry her around. Took quite a long time for her to get used & also after she found something to play. Guess what. There was a slope at the gate & she was there running up & down the slope happily. The person who was looking after her was panting. Haha. We were afraid she would fall down as the floor's hard & it's granite. She threw a tantrum when we carried her away into the house while i asked the gate to be closed. Each time, we let her down, she will ran towards the gate again. I brought her to a playground nearby but didn't let her play as it's not really for her age group & scare she will hurt herself. Not to mention, there were mossies around! Inside the house was also a disaster. She saw a baby girl climbing the stairs & began to follow her. *Faint* This time round, she used her 2 hands & legs to climb up instead of 'walking ' up the stairs using the railings. Got once, my sister took over & Celest decided to be naughty then. My sister wasn't closed enough to her when she decided to do a stunt while on her way down. Celest jumped off the stairs instead of going down the steps 1 by 1. My sister said she wasn't prepared for this. Luckily, it was a few steps to the landing & she didn't suffered much bruise. What a scare i got when i heard her cry in the living room.
My cousin's wife got an old piano which was placed in the living room. Some kids were playing with it & attracted Celest. Soon, she sat on the chair & was there mimicking playing. So scared that she will spoil it & i wouldn't know what to tell the wife. Also had a hard time tearing her away from it until i had the keys all kept & covered up, then she accepted the fact that we kept it already. We went to the new TJ Mart near my grandma's place for coffee. Met up with grandma & uncle there. Took a short stroll & also to make Celest nap before we go back to the house. I was on the lookout for some shoes for Celest, especially those that gave off 'beep beep' sound when walked on. As my mum said that she heard on radio from a specialist that it helps to 'cure' kids who were walking tip toe. Lately, Celest liked to walk tip toe, maybe it was due to her short height when she wanted to reach for something high, it seems to become a habit from then. My mum blamed me for using walker on her when she was learning to walk. Haiz.
We went back for dinner. I failed to get my uncles etc to start a game of mahjong. :( Most guests left the place by nightfall. Hubby & brother was engrossed in their game of ping pong. Started to prepare Celest for bed & bathing etc. She fell asleep soon after drinking her milk. Celest has a good sleep throught the night, but not for us though. Haha. We were freezing as it grew very cold in the night & i kept waking up to turn down the fan speed from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1. Even hubby who's not afraid of cold also said so. Anyway, downstairs was already bustling with activities as my cousin kids were preparing to go to childcare & aunt/uncle going to open their shop. Celest spent the morning climbing stairs, running around the house, watching my uncle doing the fishpond etc. Then i put her to her nap again, with both of us sleeping of course.
My mum was already here when we woke up & everyone had their lunch already except us. It was 2pm+ only. The day just passed quickly while i helped out in the kitchen. Xmas Eve @ T2

FamilyToday was Xmas eve. It seems very exciting outside, with all those countdowns, parties etc. Somehow, i felt abit bored as i couldn't be part of any of these activities. My dream countdown is to go to Mt Faber for a dinner, takes in the beautiful Xmas Tree followed by countdown. Some years we did go to Mt Faber BUT only to sit in a car & drive past. Sometimes, we didn't even reached the top before we went down hill again when the drivers said jam. Hubby always gave the excuse that he got no car & Mt Faber not accessible & there will be traffic jam etc. All bullshit! He just doesn't make the efforts to try. I'm sure not everyone who's up there has a car. I would love to bring Celest there to look at the Xmas tree, the snows etc..
Anyway, we went to T2 with Simon & family. Took a stroll & let the kids ran around. Took some photos as usual. Haha. After which, we sat down at Polar Cafe & enjoyed a cup of coffee & cakes. Celest was greedy as usual. Saw me eating pastry & wanted to eat it as well as drinking my hot chocolate. She loves to hold cup & sips from it. I didn't let go of my hold as I was worried that she will make a mess. We went back home after that as we got to wake up early to go to Malaysia to visit relatives. Oh no, we got less than 5hours to sleep & i haven't finished packing yet. Celest was very tired & she slept on the way home. She didn't even stirred when we alighted from the car & transferred her back to her own bed.
If your eyes are sharp, they are actually wearing the same clothes. Except that its been covered by their jackets.

Xmas Gathering @ Ai Tee's House
See the way she hold those animals..can't imagine if it's real..
Yum yum. Soon we can sample Roy's cooking again. We will be going to their house for a JAL Sin 45 Xmas gathering. Decided to take a cab there as Celest woke up late. We stopped by Tampines Mall for a short while since it's still early. Passed by Isetan & Celest set her eyes on something- the furry animals. She was excited & happy to see them & ended up being there for quite some time as she was reluctant to leave, holding onto the doggies tightly. She had one similar toy at home given by Pelin but I kept it away as she liked to pull out the fur & eat it. Bought a log cake & we proceeded on to Ai Tee's house.
Germaine was already there when we arrived. Our chef Roy was busy in his kitchen. Celest went up to greet him with a "hi", a smile and off she went to explore the house. She saw fishes in the room & was fascinated by it. I couldn't make her sleep & thus let hubby took over. She got a spanking in the end for putting up a resistance to sleep. But after awhile, she was asleep. I then went on to play mahjong with my friends. Haha.
See the food we have. Got Baked cheese mushroom, Ham with apple sauce, salad, Lasagne, Grilled beacon with seafood, Mushroom soup etc. I only fed Celest the Ham. She didn't like the apple sauce though & gave a yucky face. Maybe it was sourish for her.
Dinner started & we went munching away the yummy food. Hubby told me that his parents are shopping at TM. We continued our mahjong & gift exchange after that. Celest got a Xmas present from Aunt Ai Tee. It was a red Elmo bag but it was a tad too big for her now. Hopefully she can use it when she starts her childcare. Hubby & Celest left after that to catch a ride from my parents-in-law while I stayed behind to play my mahjong. Its been a long time since I was alone with my friends. We played till 11pm+ & Germaine sent me to Sengkang mrt. Oops! Wrong move as i should have gone by Tampinese mrt & all the way down. Because the last train at Sengkang was at 11.28pm! Ended up, I took a bus to Toa Payoh, followed by a cab before I reached home. There goes my winnings.
